A traffic complaint led to multiple charges and the seizure of drugs and other property in Prince Edward County Wednesday afternoon.
OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Loyalist Parkway near Bloomfield just before 2 p.m.
Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
The driver was found to be breaching conditions and was subsequently arrested while further investigation led to the arrest of one of the passengers.
The vehicle was searched and suspected fentanyl and cocaine, a collapsible baton, cash and additional drug paraphernalia were seized.
Adam Dunn, 28, of Belleville faces several charges:
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
- Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court – five counts
- Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid
Thomas Fox, 37, of Prince Edward County is charged with failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court.
Both accused were held for a bail hearing.
