The Belleville Senators outshot Milwaukee 25-15 Wednesday night, however, shots on goal didn’t tell the story as the visiting Admirals skated to a 4-1 win at the CAA Arena.
Belleville could not overcome a 2-0 second period lead by Milwaukee.
Matthew Highmore cut the deficit to one at 3:52 of the third period before Milwaukee scored twice to put the game out of reach.
Highmore says it was a game of missed chances by the Sens.
Belleville head coach David Bell saw positives from his team.
Belleville’s record is 2-2.
They host their AHL North Division rival Toronto Marlies Friday and Saturday night at 7:05 at the CAA Arena.
