Here’s a chance to beautify your garden this coming spring while at the same time helping eradicate polio.
Today (October 24) is World Polio Day and Rotarians around the world will be raising awareness and raising money to fight the disease which can lead to paralysis for some of those infected.
The Rotary Club of Belleville is selling and planting End Polio Now tulips. About 600 of the red and gold tulips will be planted by Rotarians at the Rotary Children of Hope monument at the corner of Pinnacle and Station streets.
For those wanting to support the fight against polio by purchasing End Polio Now tulips, contact Terry Thomas of the Rotary Club of Belleville at 506-323-9440.
