There was a long slow-burn in Brighton, last night, as council considered a draft bylaw on outdoor burning. After a lengthy discussion on the bylaw which would prohibit burn barrels and outdoor fireplaces in the urban portion of the town….council agreed to hold a public meeting in the near future to gather input. Barbecues and other “cooking fires” are acceptable under the proposed fire bylaw.
