Northumberland Hills Hospital has had to postpone its 20th anniversary celebrations due to an outbreak of COVID-19.
An open house and tour were planned for Wednesday, October 18 but an outbreak was identified late Monday on the Inpatient Rehabilitation (1A) and Restorative Care (1B) Units.
Susan Walsh, NHH President and CEO says while the event would not have involved entry into care areas where patients were present, it was decided that it is not the right time to welcome large numbers into the building for a celebration.
At this time, no alternate date has been planned.
Visiting at the affected units has been paused, with limited exceptions, but is continuing as usual in the rest of the hospital.
