When it comes to motorists stopping at an east end Belleville intersection, there’s been a bit of confusion.
After looking at the issue last night, City Council decided there was one stop too many at the intersection of Charles and Pine streets. Councillor Jack Miller said people in the neighbourhood wondered why one of the signs was put there in the first place. One sign will be removed…..so if you’re driving north on Charles Street you no longer have to stop to turn onto Pine, or to go straight ahead, but if you’re coming west on Pine Street you still have to stop.
