West Zwick’s Park will be anything but quiet Saturday.
Music, dancing, food and fireworks will highlight Belleville’s third annual Diwali Festival in the park.
A major event in India, Diwali is a celebration of light prevailing over darkness and lasts for several days.
Last year’s Diwali Festival drew around 7,000 people to Zwick’s.

Organized by Discover Belleville , the Belleville Chamber of Commerce and members of the local Indian community, last year’s Diwali celebration was named Best New Festival by Festivals and Events Ontario.
Organizers promise a bigger and better event this year. Diwali runs from 3 in the afternoon until 10 o’clock Saturday night.
