The Markham Royals defeated the Wellington Dukes 4-3 on Friday.
Austin Montgomery-Parsons, Cory Jewitt, and Ethan Quick scored for the Dukes.
The Dukes opened scoring in under three minutes, but the Royals answered two of their own goals in the first frame to take the lead. During the second frame, the Dukes took two more goals to regain the lead. The Royals tied the game back up early in the third period, before scoring again at the halfway point. The Dukes were unable to land another goal, and were handed the loss.
The Dukes will travel to face the Haliburton Huskies at 4 p.m.
