AS OF 5:50 PM, MORE THAN $55,000 HAS BEEN RAISED
Wednesday is the day! It is the annual Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon to benefit The Children’s Foundation.
Nine local radio stations are taking part including Quinte Broadcasting Co. stations CJBQ, MIX97, and ROCK107.
All monies raised in the Radiothon will help support various programs offered to disadvantaged children throughout the region by the Foundation.
Those include Playing for Keeps, Camps of Hope, bursaries, Keep Baby Safe, and Helping Hands.
Call the Foundation at (613) 921-KIDS (5437) to donate or donate online or drop by The Children’s Foundation Offices at 363 Dundas Street West.
Cheques, debit/credit, and cash will be accepted.
Also at the offices today there will be a community charity BBQ with all food donated by McDowell’s Your Independent Grocer. That runs from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
While you are there buy some balls for the dunk tank and try to soak some community leaders, such as Belleville’s police and fire chiefs.
