Wednesday will be all about the kids as Quinte Broadcasting participates in the 4th Annual Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon.
Nine local radio stations including Mix 97, Rock 107 and 800 CJBQ, are teaming up to raise money for The Children’s Foundation.
Funds raised will go towards Children’s Foundation programs like the Camps of Hope and Reach for Success Bursary programs. Last year’s radiothon raised just over $70,000.
The Children’s Foundation headquarters in Belleville (363 Dundas Street West) will also be hosting a by-donation drive-thru BBQ from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as well as a dunk tank featuring some local community leaders.
The Lorne Brooker Show will broadcast live from The Children’s Foundation from 9 – 11 a.m.
In addition, 50 cents from every McCafe hot beverage sold on October 4 at McDonald’s locations in Belleville, Trenton, Madoc, Brighton, Campbellford, Cobourg and Port Hope will be donated to The Children’s Foundation.
