The 55+ residential community of Wellings of Picton has surpassed $50,000 in donations to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Wellings of Picton has made more than 32 contributions to PECMHF since 2015.
A reception celebrating the milestone was recently held in the Atrium of Wellings.
Shannon Coull, executive director of the PECMH Foundation says, “These gifts from Wellings help support our hospital’s exceptional Care Champions by providing them with the tools, equipment, and space they need to provide high-quality care for patients and their families. With their support, we can also invest in the resources needed to Back the Build for our new hospital and meet the growing needs of the community we serve.”
We recognize that local, accessible health care is critical to a vibrant, thriving community, and we are pleased to be able to support the hospital and the hospital foundation,” said Kevin Pidgeon, chief executive officer of Nautical Lands Group, which owns Wellings. “We are incredibly grateful to our employees and members at Wellings of Picton for their ongoing commitment to raising funds and keeping community wellness a top priority.”
Pushing them over the $50,000 mark was Wellings second annual car wash and barbecue.
The funds raised through this event propelled them to the Founder level on PECMHF’s donor wall for cumulative gifts of $50,000+.
A naming opportunity in the new hospital is also being explored.
