A vehicle struck a house in Quinte West on Tuesday.
Quinte News received information that a car struck a van before hitting the home Old Highway 2 in the area of Aikins Road around noon.
Quinte West Fire Chief John Whelan says they received information that two people were reportedly trapped in the car, but when Fire and Emergency Services arrived, both occupants were out of the vehicle and one of them had allegedly fled the scene.
The Canine Unit was called in to assist Quinte West OPP with the search.
Quinte West OPP say the scene was cleared before 2:30 p.m. and that the incident remains under investigation.
No arrests have been made.
There were no injuries.
Chief Whelan says there is extensive damage to the house and it is lucky that no one was home at the time.
