Belleville police arrested a man on an outstanding warrant for assault early Friday.
Police issued a warrant for a 41-year-old man following an assault on John Street September 18.
The victim had been punched and the assailant uttered a death threat to the victim threatening him if he called police.
Around 2 a.m. today, police responded to a disturbance on Alexander Street where two males were about to fight with weapons and identified one of the males as the suspect they were looking for.
