About 70 people will be affected as Lactalis Canada plans to close its Belleville dairy products distribution centre in the spring of 2025.
The workers ship products made at Belleville’s Black Diamond Cheese plant, also owned by Lactalis.
According to The Intelligencer several shipping hubs will be closed and consolidated at a huge shipping centre in Oshawa now under construction.
The Belleville distribution centre is located on Jamieson Bone Road.
