The final 130 metres of lumber is in, and the Marsh boardwalk at Presqu”ile Provincial Park in Brighton is ready to go.
Volunteers organized by the Friends of Presqu’ile recently completed the last stretch to finish the loop, creating a structure that replaces an old boardwalk torn down a few years ago.
Park Superintendent Tom Mates says a grand opening is still being planned, and the only work left to do is the construction of the second tower on the boardwalk, in August.
He says the structure provides great viewing of many different types of waterfowl.
