Members of Chiefs of Ontario will holding a demonstration against Bill C-53 on Parliament Hill.
The bill, if passed, would recognize certain Métis governments in Alberta, Ontario and Saskatchewan.
Chiefs of Ontario says the bill will “irreparably damage First Nations “inherent and treaty rights” and they shared concerns of “unfounded and illegitimate Métis rights assertions in their territories.”
Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte says it will be sending a bus filled with supporters to the demonstration.
