A 37-year old Trenton man has a bail hearing today after a police chase culminated with officers being spit at. Quinte West OPP responded to a domestic incident Friday evening and spotted the suspect in a Doddge Caravan leaving the scene and weaving all over the street. Despite sirens and roof lights being activated the suspect vehicle took off at speeds reaching 100km/h. Officers boxed the vehicle in on Queen Street and the suspect resisted arrest and spat on the officers several times. The side window of the cruiser was also damaged when the suspect kicked it. The Trenton male is facing 11 charges today including flight from police, impaired driving and assaulting police.
