The 50 public health nurses now into the fourth week of a strike for higher wages will be picketing out in the community Monday.
For the most part the nurses have picketed outside Hastings Prince Edward Public Health offices.
Monday picket lines will be set up outside MPP Todd Smith’s office in Rossmore until noon and then at family health team and doctors’ offices in the afternoon.
Meanwhile the Ontario Nurses’ Association advises that while COVID 19 cases are rising in the Quinte region the health unit has no one ready to quickly provide vaccinations and other COVID related services while the strike continues.
