Belleville police officers came to the aid of a resident who was having trouble getting a group of homeless people to move off private property Tuesday.
Police were called around 9:30 in the morning by a property owner who, despite several attempts, could not convince the people to leave a Pinnacle Street property.
Officers arrived and moved them along, warning them of the consequences of a conviction under the Trespass to Property Act.
Meanwhile, Belleville police are asking for help after a man reported having his wallet and cell phone stolen after briefly leaving theĀ area of a picnic he was having Monday evening on River Road.
Police say two suspects believed to be living in the woods nearby were seen there Monday evening.
