A 42-year-old man has been charged with assaulting a child during a family dispute.
Belleville police were called to a dispute between family members at a north end residence shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday.
As a result of an investigation, a 42-year-old Belleville man was charged with two counts of assault.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
The accused, who is not being named to protect the identity of the victim, has an August 31 court date.
