A 51-year-old Belleville man is facing charges after a reported incident Tuesday in which he attempted to sell a couple of crossbows while on a weapons prohibition.
Belleville police received information that two males were attempting to sell the crossbows to a local business and one of the males was believed to have a weapons prohibition from a previous incident.
The men left in a vehicle, which was located a short time later by police.
As a result, Richard Brant, 51, of Belleville was charged with breaching a weapons prohibition. He was released from custody with an August 31, 2023 court date.
