The Quinte West OPP have charged an individual in a stolen vehicle.
On August 4, 2023 at approximately 10:30 a.m., an officer was patrolling Highway 401 when a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. An investigation revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen. The driver was arrested.
Meganne Michaud, 20 years old from Quebec, has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of property obtained by crime
- Fail to comply with release order
- Speeding
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
