A house in Thurlow was destroyed by fire in the mid-afternoon today. Belleville volunteers firefighters responded to 634 Bethel Road, at about 2:30 in the afternoon, but the two-storey home was fully envolved by the time crews arrived on scene. Tanker assistance was brought in from Mohawk, Tyendinaga and Quinte West Fire Departments. It’s not believed anyone was injured…and, a cause hasn’t been determined. There was serious thunderstorm activity in the area at the time of the blaze.
