Moira Trojans from the past 50-years took a moment to acknowledge the school’s athletes of the year during the 50th Anniversary Celebrations underway this weekend. Former star athletes dating back to the 60’s like Dee Doran, Ann Thompson, Lynn Neill, Joan Watson and Frances Smith right up to 2008 Athlete of the Year John Brown were recognized during a special athletics assembly today. For 1980 Male Athlete of the Year Mark Hurst it was his first time back at Moira since graduation. Moira Anniversary celebrations continue Sunday with a breakfast and then the closing ceremonies.
