The speed limit on a stretch of County Road 30 in Brighton is about to change.
Monday, Brighton council voted to designate the part of County Road 30 running 600 metres west
of the intersection with Goodrich Road as a Community Safety Zone.
The speed limit will be lowered to 40 kmh on that stretch and fines for speeding will be doubled.
That part of County Road 30 is in a built-up zone and features the Golden Pond Retirement Residence.
