Prince Edward County OPP are reminding residents to keep drugs and medication out of reach of small children.
The warning comes after officers responded, alongside paramedics, on Thursday to a residence where a 20-month-old child had found and eaten cannabis-laced chocolates.
The child was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police are reminding parents and guardians to keep substances out of children’s reach, as they are curious and quick.
