The D.J. MacDonald Bridge in Trenton will be closed to traffic Friday as part of the ongoing effort to repair a broken water main crossing the Trent River.
There was a break in the primary Trenton Water Service water main on Monday night.
The bridge is scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the installation of a 550-metre long water supply pipe.
This temporary pipe will maintain water supply to Trenton Water Service customers west of the Trent River until the water main under the river is permanently repaired.
The boil water advisory for residents west of the Trent River as well as some customers in Prince Edward County served by Trenton Water Service was lifted late Thursday afternoon.
