The City of Quinte West is providing drinking water and other facilities to residents affected by the repair of a major water main crossing the Trent River.
Drinking water, washrooms, and showers are available at the Duncan MacDonald Community Centre until 11 o’clock Tuesday night and until further notice if necessary.
The northwest part of Trenton, the Telephone Road service area, is without water as crews work to repair the break.
It’s hoped water will flow again by noon.
Meanwhile boil water advisories remain in effect for residents of Trenton west of the Trent River and in Murray ward along with those in the Carrying Place area and in Consecon.
The advisory will remain in effect until the all clear is given by the health unit.
