There were passengers on a Belleville Transit bus when it caught fire Monday afternoon.
Fire, police and ambulance crews responded to Dundas Street West in the area of Avondale Road just after 3 p.m.
Flames were coming out of the back of the Route 7 bus.

“There were about five riders on the bus at the time. Our driver did a great job. Went into emergency preparedness mode, gathered everybody in a location, made sure everybody was safe, called emergency services.”
