Warrants issued in Quinte West weapons investigation

Warrants have been issued for two individuals in connection with an incident involving a firearm in Trenton.

Quinte West OPP responded to a disturbance at a Victoria Avenue residence around 12 a.m. Friday.

During an altercation, a firearm was pointed and verbal threats were made before two suspects fled the scene.

The OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit were called in to help with the search but the suspects were not located.

Investigation led to the identification of the suspects.

Shayne Desormo, 35 years old from Trenton is wanted for the following offences:

Pointing a firearm
Unauthorized possession of a firearm
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order – Three counts
Use firearm while committing an offence
Utter threats to cause death or bodily harm

Kevin Scurry, 30 years old from Quinte West is wanted for the following offences:

Utter threats to cause death or bodily harm
Fail to comply with probation order
