An event marking the 50th anniversary of the tornado that hit Brighton is being held on Saturday.
A commemoration will take place at King Edward Park in the Owen Gibb Community Centre on July 8.
The event will go from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Each hour there will be a viewing of a mini documentary detailing the weather event with first-hand accounts of residents.
There will also be a viewing of a still photo gallery showing photos taken in the immediate aftermath of the storm.
Refreshments from the Codrington Women’s Institute will be available to purchase.
The event is free.
