A drug charge has been laid following a traffic stop.
Quinte West OPP say an officer was patrolling Byron Street around 2 p.m. on Thursday when a bicycle described as “power assisted” by police was stopped.
The rider was arrested on outstanding warrants and a search resulted in additional charges.
Thirty-four-year-old Bradley Hilts of Quinte West was charged with the following:
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance – Methamphetamine
- Fail to comply with probation order – Two counts
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
