A local landscaping business is moving to Picton’s industrial park.
During Tuesday’s meeting of Prince Edward County Council, council voted to approve the sale of five acres of land to Scott Wentworth Landscaping.
The property is located on McFarland Drive in Picton’s Industrial Park and was sold for $145,000.
Councillor Phil St-Jean was pleased with the deal supporting a local employer, ” … who by the way, employs more than 100 people in our community,” he said. “Very large employer, I would suspect they are looking at growth, as well as a new location.”
Scott Wentworth Landscaping has been operating in Prince Edward County since 1991.
