The total burn ban in Belleville has been lifted.
A total ban on open air burning, including all campfires and brush burning, had been in effect since June fifth.
Officials issued the ban due to the dry conditions in the area at the time.
It had also been a time of high levels of air pollution.
The lifting of the ban by the city of Belleville is effective immediately.
A burn ban is a period of time during which the fire chief declares a ban on any open-air burning.
