A colourful procession of trucks, cars, parade floats and walkers of all ages took over Dundas Street this afternoon for the Bay of Quinte Pride Parade.
The parade started at the school board offices on Ann Street, and followed Dundas Street until it reached Zwick’s Park.
Observers and pedestrians lined the road, shouting encouragement to those walking in the parade. Some groups of parade participants tossed candies and rainbow coloured trinkets into the crowd as they passed.
Weather was bright and sunny throughout the event, with a gentle breeze catching the many flags and cooling both the marchers and participants.
After the parade a lively celebration began at the ending point, West Zwick’s Park.
