A well-known dentist in Picton has died while on vacation in the Caribbean. 54-year old Doctor Randy Sampson was on holidays off Saint Eustatius with a group of dentists when he disappeared under the water while on a boating trip. The cause of death is drowning. Sampson’s wife Catherine and children Rebecca and Christopher were not on the trip. Dr. Sampson has a large practice next to the Picton Hospital. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Hicks Funeral in Picton. Visitation is on Monday and the funeral will be held at Picton United Church on Tuesday.
