The Belleville Sports Hall of Fame has announced a new format for the Belleville High School Athlete of the Year ceremony.
In years past, the ceremony would be done in conjunction with the induction ceremony.
This time, the Hall of Fame will conduct the Athlete of the Year ceremony separate from the induction ceremony.
The brief ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Dr. R.L. Vaughan Atrium at the Quinte Wellness Centre and will be open to the public.
The award recognizes the Senior Female and Male Athletes of the Year from eight local High Schools – Albert College, Bayside, Centennial, Eastside, Nicholson, Quinte Christian, Sir James Whitney, and St. Theresa – and selects the overall Senior Female and Male Athlete of the Year for Belleville.
