In response to the heat, the Quinte West cooling centre is open Friday at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Arena from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The arena is at 8 Couch Crescent in Centennial Park.
The splash pads are also open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in both Trenton and Frankford.
