Belleville police are asking for the public’s assistance as they continue to investigate an attempted abduction.
Just before 8 p.m. on May 16, a male in the area Jackson Avenue and May Street attempted multiple times to convince a 12-year-old to get into his vehicle.
A couple walking in the area noticed and intervened on behalf of the young female.
Belleville police would like to speak with the intervening couple.
The suspect male is described as being in his 30s, having an accent, being of South Asian descent and driving a white sedan with dark rims.
