He’d always wanted to give morning radio a go and this (Friday) morning Joe Reid did.
Mr. Reid, a spry 103 year old, was a co-host on MIX97 with Sean Kelly and Mariam Serkal.
Kelly asked him how he was enjoying his morning on the radio.
“Exciting…..ohhhh! (laughter) I’ve had so many of them in the last hundred years.. (laughter)…ohhhhhh!”
Mr. Reid shared a cherished memory with listeners.
“I saw the Toronto Maple Leafs play in 1927 at the old Maple Leaf Gardens. Old Foster Hewitt sittin’ there in the open.”
Joe Reid and his family have lived in the Quinte area for years, mostly in Trenton.
