Belleville Police have arrested a Mississauga man and are looking for another suspect in connection with a sexual assault investigation in the east end of the city.
On December 8, 2022, Belleville Police Service Uniform Patrol and Criminal Investigations Division began an investigation into a sexual assault allegation at a residence in the east end of Belleville.
Then, on May 10, members of the Criminal Investigations Division with the assistance of the Peel Regional Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence in Mississauga which led to the arrest of a 35-year-old male on charges of:
1. Sexual assault on a person under the age of 16
2. Sexual interference
3. Assault,
4. Bestiality
5. Utter forged document
6. Assault with a weapon
7. Mischief under $5000
8. Administer noxious thing

His name is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
He was held for a bail hearing.
Police say an arrest warrant has been sought for a second suspect, a 59-year-old Mississauga resident on charges of:
