Another information session regarding the Bay of Quinte Relay for Life is taking place at Trenton High School on Tuesday.
Community members and teams will be able to ask questions regarding registration, setting up teams, banking and fundraising and preparing for the Relay.
Bay of Quinte Relay for Life Event Director Karen White says they are also encouraging cancer survivors to attend the information session as well as attend the Relay for Life event.
“We have a program this year to assist them getting to the event,” White tells Quinte News.
“If you are a survivor and you would like to join our event, we’ve arranged with Quinte Transit to pick you up, bring you to the event and take you home if transportation is a problem.”
She says those interested in using the service can either call Candace at 613-242-5376 or email bayofquinterelay@cancer.ca.
This year’s goal for the Bay of Quinte Relay for Life is $56,000.
White says fundraising is going “very well.”
“Not only are our teams bringing in huge amounts of money from their friends and families and donors, but we’ve had amazing support from our community,” White tells Quinte News.
“We’ve got many sponsors on board this year. I have no doubt we will make our goal this year.”
The information session on the Bay of Quinte Relay for Life is taking place at Trenton High School on Tuesday, May 23 from 7-8 p.m. in room 119.
