There is another sign that summer is close.
Patio season is launching in Belleville’s Downtown District.
Construction has been underway all week preparing for this weekend’s launch of a series of 25 patios and parklets throughout the downtown.
The Pop-Up Patio Program is a partnership between the city and BIA.
The project received $621,447 from the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
BIA Executive Director Danielle Hanoman says the patios and parklets really define the downtown as a culinary and entertainment destination.
