It’s bad news for local ROCK music fans.
There will not be an Empire ROCKFEST this summer.
Empire Theatre owner Mark Rashotte made the announcent on Facebook.
Rashotte said he’s been working long and hard to put a good rock show together but he just couldn’t put a package together that would meet the standards of an Empire ROCKFEST.
” … and I can’t come to you and ask you for putting out your hard-earned money to buy a ticket to come to an event here for us if I’m not feeling really good about it and the fact that I think that we’re gonna be delivering the goods to you.”
Rashotte said, “We will be back. I want to rock this town.”
Entertainers at last summer’s ROCKFEST included Tea Party, Headstones and the Jake Clemons Band.
