A crash on the east side of Belleville Thursday has led to charges against a 34-year-old woman.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to Old Highway 2 and Mitchell Road, where a vehicle struck a pole and airbags were deployed.
Officials discovered the driver in the crash was picked up by another vehicle, which left the scene.
After witnesses provided a description of the vehicle, officers were able to identify a suspect.
Haeley Dinkle was charged with careless driving, failing to remain at the scene, and impaired.
She has a June court date
