The town of Tweed is taking a close look at the local Historical Society.
At its meeting on Tuesday, the town council recognized the society as an asset for the community.
Mayor Don DeGenova tells Quinte News a committee has been formed to look into its future.
” … to investigate how they see that relationship evolving with the municipality and that we will look at entertaining something about working with them.”
DeGenova said this could “keep them going or the town could take a lead role in managing the society and providing increased funding for it.”
