Belleville council congratulated a longtime employee on her retirement at its meeting Monday.
Kim Wilson has worked for the city for 38 years.
She began in what was known as the Treasury Department in 1980s and then moved to the clerk’s office but has spend most of her career, 23 years, in administration with the fire department.
She told council her time with the fire department was her favourite. “The guys have been great to work with.”
During her time with the department she worked for four fire chiefs and eight deputy chiefs.
