Cadence Tait and Brayden Clark led the East Northumberland Blue Dragons Track and Field team with two gold medals each at the Bay of Quinte Invitational Meet in Belleville on Friday.
Tait won the Junior 800 and 1500 metre events. Clark won the senior long jump and anchored his 4 x 100 metre relay team which included Malcolm Whittle, Aidan Fairbanks and Zaid Wedderburn-Harper.
Lily de Wal earned gold in the novice 80 metre hurdles and bronze in the 200 metres.
Dominic Rittwage won gold in the novice 100 metre and bronze in the 200 metre.
And Aidan Molenhuis won silver medals in the high jump, the 110 metre hurdles and the 400 metre hurdle events.
More than 900 athletes from area high schools took part in the event which is the first phase toward the Ontario High School Track and Field championships June 8 to 10 in Ottawa.
