Three people have been charged following a drug bust in Madoc.
Members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Canine Unit and Central Hastings OPP executed a search warrant at a residence Wednesday evening seizing a quantity of drugs and cash.
As a result of the investigation three individuals have been arrested and charged.
Forty-three-year-old Cory Northey of Madoc has been charged with:
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
· Possess of a Schedule I substance – opioid
· Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and,
· Breach of recognizance.
Amy Caldwell, 47 years of age and 36-year-old Barbara McGovern, both from Belleville, have each been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine and, possess of a Schedule I substance – opioid.
All three individuals were released with conditions on an undertaking to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on May 15.
