Picton’s Main Street reconstruction continues.
During Tuesday’s council meeting, Prince Edward County council received a report from staff regarding a bid by R.W. Tomlinson Limited for roadwork on Picton’s Main Street.
The total bid was $11,214,900 and any applicable taxes.
The bid by Tomlinson to complete the second phase of the main street reconstruction project was the lowest bidder.
The work to be completed includes new storm drainage, sewer and water lines, road base and surface, and sidewalk reconstruction.
Council voted to approve the bid.
